Projectory Fellowship 2020/2021 is now open!

Projectory Fellowship is an opportunity for passionate and creative youths who are keen to make a difference with their skills.

Fellows get hands-on experiences initiating and running a social innovation project of their choosing whilst working closely with the community they serve. They will be able to hone their hard and soft skills, befriend like-minded people, and create positive change for society.

Here are two exciting projects for you to be part of:

1. Project Lighthouse

Because every child, no matter their backgrounds, should have access to quality education.

Lighthouse is a digital platform that serves to connect tutors to children's academic queries. It supports education equity by providing a fast, effective, and free learning platform for children from underprivileged backgrounds.

Software Engineer
  • Create website layout/interface using React/HTML/CSS/Redux

  • Create backend services with knowledge of REST APIs and databases (NodeJS, MongoDB)

  • Deploy and manage application on cloud services such as GCP/AWS

Product Designer 
  • Conduct qualitative user research with our community partners and beneficiaries

  • Produce high quality UI/UX wireframes using Adobe/Figma/other software

  • Apply the principles of design thinking and conduct prototype tests

Partner Liaison 
  • Be a point-of-contact for our partners (primary schools, welfare organisations etc.)

  • Pitch the program and inspire confidence in our partners

These are just some of the key roles the team would have to successfully implement the project. Nonetheless, roles are porous and you can wear as many hats as you want. At Projectory, we encourage everyone to be creative and independent as we believe that's when the best work happens.

2. Project Humanity

Because we should have more open conversations of race with the younger generation to build an inclusive future in Singapore.

Project Humanity is an art education program that facilitates children's understanding of racial diversity and promote the beauty of all skin colours. You will explore ways to communicate ideals of racial harmony in a fun and creative way to children.

Program Designers
  • Research and have a nuanced understanding of racial issues in Singapore

  • Research on effective and teaching and learning pedagogies to engage children

  • Plan interesting and exciting art education programs that integrate learning points on racial diversity

Facilitators
  • Lead art programs and facilitate children's learning experience

  • Be sensitive and open-minded in communicating with children

  • Be a role model and good mentor for children

Partner Liaison
